These internship positions will provide valuable agency experience, college credit (if applicable) and the opportunity to build pieces for your portfolio.
Design Internship Description:
Westwerk is seeking a talented design intern to work closely with our in-house team. As an intern, you will assist in creating and producing designs alongside our creative team. We work on numerous projects simultaneously, and depending on your skill set, you may be able to help and learn with the team in multiple areas.
Specific Skills:
- Strong portfolio
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- A collaborative work ethic
- Ability to work independently, but seek help when necessary
- Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Attention to detail (pixel precision)
Developer Internship Description:
Working alongside our team here at Westwerk, you will be responsible for building, learning and breathing everything web/app and WordPress. You will be responsible for bringing designs to life, creating wonderfully well-written and absolutely beautiful code.
Specific Skills:
- WordPress, HTML and CSS code skills
- Some Javascript & jQuery experience
- Understanding of web hosting
- PHP & WordPress Plugin development experience is a plus
- Strong development portfolio
- Excellent time management and communications skills
- A collaborative work ethic
- Ability to work independently, but seek help when necessary
