Working alongside our team here at Westwerk, you will be responsible for building, learning and breathing everything web/app and WordPress. You will be responsible for bringing designs to life, creating wonderfully well written and absolutely beautiful code.  You will work on projects, both in small teams and alone.

You are the right person if you are out of school, a self-taught guru, or an experienced professional looking for an awesome team to be a part of. Here’s what things you’re good at:

• You have strong WordPress and CSS skills (No WYSIWYGs here please, you need to know how to code)
• You understand in-depth HTML and CSS code  (insert buzz words here: HTML5, CSS3, Responsive development)
• You work well as part of a team, but are proactive on your own
• You can manage your workload like a boss
• You can maybe teach us a thing or two
• You can work on site in Minneapolis, Minnesota
• You like challenges and love to learn!
• Javascript & jQuery experience
• Understanding of web hosting
• PHP & WordPress Plugin development experience a plus

If it counts as a hobby, spending time with my wife and kids, I also like to play some 6 string and drawring pictures.

Iceland, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Ireland; and yes, this would all be the same vacation, it would be a long one with my wife and lots of mountains, ocean, and castles.

What is your favorite movie? Why?
Braveheart. It’s a war move, a love story, and a bunch of dudes in skirts and long hair taking on an entire country.

If you were a car, what kind of car would you be?   
El Camino. It can’t be fit into a category, and it’s kind of cool but still mostly awkward.

What is your least favorite word?
Cliché: Using the word cliche is so cliche.

What would you do if you had a time machine?
Go back in time and stop the creation if Internet Explorer.

What is your job description (in your own words)?
I get to tell stories visually. I also love the fact that I’m privileged to create things everyday!

Oh and I’m pretty sure somewhere in that job description is foosball, this is good.

It was a pleasure being in Boise and it is even more of a pleasure to be a part of such a wonderful project. Be on the lookout for the new Boise State University to the interwebs around July sometime.

Now… back to flexing more creative muscles and getting in our game-day mindset to pump out some killer designs for the university!

We are sincerely honored to now be part of Massive Press with our WerkPress solution. What an amazing idea, “accomplish so much more together, then we can apart…” and this is exactly the process we took while at Massive Camp. The two days we got together for the camp were not only a wonderful learning experience in WordPress and how others are utilizing the platform and all of it’s possibilities; but it was about collaborating to build something really neat (although we can’t reveal what that is right now, you will soon find out). You will be responsible for creating awe-inspiring, kick-awesome, pixel-perfect, pretty-yet-functional designs and absolutely beautiful code. Working on projects, both in small teams and alone. Additionally you would be responsible for interactive, creative, or traditional media work if it fits the bill.

About Yourself.

You are the right person if you are out of school, a self-taught guru, or an experienced professional looking for an awesome team to be a part of. You might be the type of person that names fonts when they see them, you notice when things are off by 1 pixel — you’re an ultra nerd that way — but we would love you for it. You love typography, despise bad color palettes, and can overcome the most complex things we throw at you. Here’s what things you’re good at:

• You have strong WordPress and CSS skills (No WYSIWYGs here please, you need to know how to code)
• You are extremely proficient in Photoshop, and Illustrator is your good friend
• You have a pixel-perfect attention to detail
• You get in-depth HTML and CSS code
• You work well as part of a team, but are proactive on your own
• You can manage your workload like a boss
• You can maybe teach us a thing or two
• You can work on site in Minneapolis, Minnesota
• You like challenges and love to learn!

There were over 1,000 people attending WCSF and many more watching the livestream, making it the biggest WordCamp yet! Westwerk attended to not only continue learning more and more about the wondrous WordPress platform, but also to connect with both theme shops and industry leaders about how our WerkPress solution is truly filling a gap in the WordPress industry. It was a great WordCamp and a great time! Thanks to our friends who attended and made it an awesome get-together.

That’s exactly what Joe did! His hammocking revolution gave birth to his company Yellow Leaf Hammocks. It also gave birth to a wonderful new relationship with Westwerk. We sat down with Joe and discovered his goals, brainstormed how to meet these goals and ultimately gave birth to a visually rich and inviting WordPress-based e-Commerce site where Joe and company could continue to build their business.

With WerkPress we facilitate WordPress customizations on behalf of theme and plugin shops. We work directly with these shops to fulfill all of their requests, providing top-level theme and plugin customizations. We don’t just give you advice for client’s customizations — we roll up our sleeves and help make stuff happen.
