Challenge
The previous web presence, which encompassed over 200 sites, had an outdated appearance, lacked brand consistency and clear navigation throughout. Additionally, the existing basic mobile website needed to be replaced by a more responsive one, accounting for the latest tech gadgets.
Solution
We worked collaboratively with Boise State University to implement the project in four phases – Discover, Design, Develop and Deliver. We produced a new branded user experience with a modern design by way of an enterprise-level WordPress theme that leverages shared content throughout 200 separate sites, shares global navigation and features a variety of page types, layout options and design elements.
The completely reworked design has achieved the goal of more effectively serving the Boise State University campus and community. It replaces all the core sites the University had been operating, and now features enhanced functionality, ease of maintenance, intuitive navigation and searching. Also, the use of responsive web design means the site automatically adjusts to the user’s mobile platform – eliminating the need for a different design and development phase for each new gadget on the market. Since the new site launched, visits increased by over 24 percent and page views are up nearly 47 percent.
