Dairyland Youth
Legendary Milwaukee-based punk band, Dairyland Youth, decided to shrug off a 17-year hiatus and record another album which would unleash an uncanny chain of events. First – a show headlining the WMSE Music Fest at Shank Hall followed by a 20-year anniversary show of their debut release “Germantown Manifesto.” Repeated play on three Milwaukee radio stations landed them a track on the Nike Bauer website soundtrack, which a few months later sparked the birth of a stop-animation video for crowd favorite “Monkey Repellent Pants,” produced by Canadian award-winning director Sylvain Dumais. This rolled into an impressive ‘Youth in Asia’ tour through South Korea and Japan, into another video for ’105.9′ and ended with a slot at Milwaukee’s Summerfest, “the worlds largest music festival.”
As if that wasn’t fun enough, Westwerk designed every piece needed to make it happen…tell me that’s not cool.
